The first game consists of an arcade mode which guides each character through a story of events with a what if scenario when the character is not defeated once. Dragon Ball Z Supersonic Warriors Gamesīoth Supersonic Warriors games are handheld fighter games for the GBA and the Nintendo DS. Buu’s Fury kept most of the mechanics in the second game with more features such as Fusion. The second one is my personal favorite because you can play other characters than just Goku. The third game (Buu’s Fury) covering the Great Saiyaman, World Tournament, and Majin Buu Sagas.

The Legacy of Goku series are a trilogy of RPG games for the GBA. I actually prefer Tenkaichi 2 over the other 2 because of this. However, the story mode is way too short. The roster is huge attracting both casual and hardcore DB fans.Tenkaichi 3 included more obscure characters such as King Cold, Arale, and Pilaf.
The game’s story mode is really detailed with almost every famous fight in the story. Tenkaichi 2 was a resurgence of the franchise. Tenkaichi 1 was not a great game, but it paved the way to some of the best DBZ games ever made. The Budokai Tenkaichi series came after the Budokai series and featured a different fighting system.
Budokai 3 featured all of the sagas in Dragon Ball Z as well as some of GT and the big movie characters at the time. The Dragon Universe mode is a feature in the story where the main DBZ characters fly around the world fighting villains and collecting items. Budokai 3 is the most popular in the series which featured the Dragon Universe mode. Budokai 2 had a board game like story mode which makes for a fun replay. The first Budokai game was good back then, but doesn’t hold up by today’s standards and only goes up to the Cell Games saga. The Budokai series is some of the best fighting games of all time.
